I’ve just got to tell you about this amazing procedure that has helped shave years off my appearance.
A woman never tells her age, but just a few days after the treatment I looked ten years younger.
Some time ago Dr. Sypien mentioned to me about this innovative new therapy - Radiofrequency Microneedling:
I had heard about microneedling before, but the Radiofrequency part is a new concept and sounded intriguing.
Finally, I decided on the procedure.
How did the treatment go?
Well, when I arrived at the Ageless Medspa, I was asked to relax as Ewelina applied a numbing gel on my skin. She told me that the gel would have the effect of numbing any possible discomfort I might feel. About 30 minutes later, I was ready to get in the chair.
I was awake the whole time!
Ewelina was using a wand that looked pretty much like a hairdryer. All I could hear were clicking sounds as the wand moved over my skin. Did I feel anything? I could feel minimal discomfort but the numbing gel was quite effective.
Each Radiofrequency Microneedling Session takes about 40 minutes
If you’re thinking about getting treatment for the entire face and neck, expect to be in the chair for 40 minutes to an hour. Of course, you can also opt for shorter treatments only for the areas you want to be covered. Like, for instance, fine lines between the brows, crows’ feet at the end of the eyes, or lines extending from the sides of the nose to the corners of your mouth. Worried about acne or injury scars?
Me? I opted for the full experience.
My skin looked flushed and felt warm to the touch afterward
Microneedling is when tiny needles make micro-injuries in the skin. The body rushes to repair the tiny injuries by creating new collagen and elastin. That’s the stuff that keeps your skin looking smooth, plump, and youthful. Over the next four to six weeks, the new collagen swells up the skin and erases the fine lines and wrinkles. Almost magically!
Like, Ewelina explained, the radiofrequency waves emitted from the wand stimulate the skin to create new cells. And, that’s what makes Radiofrequency microneedling a lot more effective than your typical microneedling. And, since the waves take effect only on the top layers of the skin, you needn’t worry about any side effects. The procedure is absolutely safe!
For the best results, consider getting at least three sessions timed at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks.
To answer your next question, there’s minimal downtime.
I preferred to get the treatment on a Friday evening, so my skin could recover over the weekend. And, yes! Any skin type responds wonderfully to the procedure. It’s advisable to give your skin up to 3 days’ breathing time. If you must use makeup, you’ll want to choose allergen-free brands so there’s no irritation.
My friends love my new skin. They can’t stop talking about this lovely glow I have!
